Tin has been produced in this valley for centuries by tin streamers working alluvial sands and gravel on the beaches and valley floor and by miners tunnelling into the hillsides and sinking shafts deep underground, following the tin-rich veins of ore.
Trevellas Valley, Blue Hills.

Blue Hills Tin Streams
Deep mining came and went, but through it all the pounding of stormy seas continued to cast up rich tin from the ocean floor, providing an extra source of ore for the tin streamers working in the valley. Like countless others before us we still carry on these traditions. Generations of our family have worked in the mines around St Agnes and throughout the world.
